Creating awareness

The new EcOman Centre, PDO’s Gift to the nation for the 40th anniversary of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos’ accession, is to make people aware of the sensitivity of our environment, the threats that we are facing and the measures that are required to look after it.

The EcOman Centre is designed to inform and inspire the general public to appreciate and adopt an eco-friendly attitude and lifestyle. The museum does so by offering hands-on experiments and experiences that communicate directly how energy and electricity work and how we can make a change.

“Many of us realise that it is high time to change our lifestyle to one that is friendlier to our ecology. To do so we must learn how to challenge ourselves and others to embrace eco-friendly industries and households. The EcOman Centre explains this in an exciting and entertaining way.”
