Dutch Water Museum
Location: Dutch Water Museum
Park Sonsbeek
The Dutch Water Museum is located in Park Sonsbeek in the city of Arnhem. This highly interactive museum focuses on fresh water. NorthernLight created the permanent 1500 square meter exhibition.
The content, developed in collaboration with the scientific advisory of academics and engineers, explores the theme ‘Natural Water’. The exhibition is designed as a weathered landscape and includes a virtual landscape exhibit and stream table. It features ‘Water in the Netherlands’ as an urban landscape with buildings and an aqueduct.
Object theatre
NorthernLight has developed a set of multimedia games, including multiplayer games to allow visitors to control inspection robots in a subterranean sewer system. The project is a multimedia object theatre, which looks like the parched bottom of a dried up lake, exploring the theme ‘Global Water’.
Scope of work
Concept development, design, multimedia development, project and productionmanagement of the complete permanent exhibition.
